The One Year of Batman project, run by Geek-Art and French Paper Art Club, began earlier this month with the release of the awesome “Gotham PD” screen prints by US artist Tim Doyle. Formerly lead designer at Mondo, this great artist is a big guys on the screen print scene. He worked on almost every subject a pop culture lover would want to work, form Doctor Who to Serenity, from Robocop to Blade Runner and the TMNT and many, many more. He also created his own universe through his magnificent “The Sea Also Rises” series. The artist tells us about hanging out in Josh Homme's studio and creating art drawn from 80s horror, game and comic culture.

For the cover of the highly anticipated new album from Queens of the Stone Age, …Like Clockwork (above), the band roped in British illustrator Boneface, best known for his brutal artworks of human depravity. The artwork isn't gore-splattered like much of Boneface's work, but a deep sense of menace still seeps through.
